AFS Logistics worked with senior art students from Calvary Baptist Academy to create a customized Christmas card and send it to their customers. Football player Chris Thomas won the championship with his trucking design.

Thomas designed a card depicting a red and green striped truck with a Christmas tree.

"We chose Chris because he really focused on the truck itself, and we think it broadly represents the importance of transportation, especially during the Christmas season," said Anna Claire Stevens, AFS marketing expert.

Brian J. Barker, the founder and chairman of AFS, said that CBA holds a special place in the hearts of him and his family. They support some of the efforts of the local community, including Christian-based junior and high school sports and downtown youth sports camps.

Thomas is a right tackle for the CBA football team. He hopes to play for Louisiana State University while earning a degree in track and field training. He will also participate in the 2022 Dream Bowl, which is a college football all-star game with players from all over the country participating. Martin Luther King Jr.’s games and a series of events during the weekend are a celebration of the excellence, commitment and sacrifice of the players and their families.

Thomas' cards are made with colored pencils. He "choose a truck because it is the most common, so he chose a truck with a Christmas tree and gifts. I just like the idea of it," he explained.

AFS came to Calvary Baptist Academy on Wednesday, donated $1,000 to the school, and invited Thomas to enjoy a Chick-Fil-A lunch for his art class to celebrate his hard work and creativity.
