After an A&E staff member was found playing the "disgusting" game of Halloween "patient bingo", an NHS chief nurse was forced to apologize-they scored for finding the spike victim.

A whistleblower who saw staff playing a "patient bingo game" said that they need to be "responsible for this disgusting and unprofessional behavior."

A friend of a patient in the emergency department found this card, and he filed a formal complaint with the hospital.

Chief nurse Lisa Grant said the behavior of the emergency room staff at Leeds General Hospital was unacceptable and "appropriate action" would be taken 

The head nurse Lisa Grant apologized for the offense and said that "appropriate action" will now be taken against those involved in the game.

The whistleblower said: "Unfortunately, I ended up in the emergency room of Leeds General Hospital on Halloween weekend.

"I noticed that the staff were playing'Patient Bingo' and they saw patients wearing certain Halloween costumes and scored points.

'This is bad enough in itself, but the bingo table will get points for seeing "sexy" patients, and it plays down the homeless and the patients who might be stabbed.

"I have complained directly to the hospital about this matter, but I am waiting for a response.

"I think the hospital is responsible for this disgusting and unprofessional behavior."

The whistleblower said that anyone who enters the emergency room can see the bingo table.

The categories on the table are: squid games: sexy squid games, sexy careers, spikes, you are a wizard, Harry! , Fisher, my first ecstasy, real blood/fake blood, NFA is not a real costume, neon sign, sexy animal, exorcist projectile vomit, Harleyquinn, superhero, Halloween Otley run, pumpkin, angel or devil , Stabby Mcstabberson.

The whistleblower added: “[Game] is just lying on a table and anyone can see it.

"I think this feels really wrong. I am shocked that the staff will make jokes with serious things like being shot or nailed to death, especially since this has become a big problem recently.

"I also dislike them joking that homeless people look like they are wearing Halloween costumes because Leeds has a very big homelessness problem.

"When we need help, we turn to these people, and they openly mock the people they should help."

Chief nurse Lisa Grant said this behavior is unacceptable.

She said: "I apologize for the offense caused by this behavior in the emergency department of our Leeds General Hospital.

"We are very disappointed and frustrated that this happened in one of our hospitals.

"This is obviously unacceptable, and we are taking appropriate action against the relevant personnel.

"We remind all colleagues that this kind of behavior and activity has absolutely no place in our trust."
