The Valorant Champions 2022 Skins look great.

The Valorant Champions 2022 skins have been revealed, with a Phantom skin and knife skin releasing next week.

The Phantom skin features a custom model and ADS design, and even has red bullets. When it is levelled up, you will get a gold glowing outline around the gun if you have the most kills in the game, and every five kills you get more red crystals will appear on the weapon, with the evolution continuing until you hit 25 kills.

The butterfly knife skin features some similar augmentations, with the addition of a custom inspect animation once you hit 25 kills and you have the most kills in the game. It also has custom gold VFX swipes and butterfly knife animations.

“When we were designing the Champions 2022 weapons, we wanted to give players a skin with the same feeling as last year: something that was aspirational and bold, that let you flex and show off your skill whether you’re popping off in ranked or dropping 30 on the VCT broadcast,” said Laura Baltzer a producer on Valorant. “To do that, we took a lot of the elements of the Champions 2021 weapons that players loved and added a few twists. Our goal with these additions was to keep exploring features that would enhance the esports broadcast while also continuing to build on the competitive feel of every players’ own ranked climb. The goal was to make the full Champion’s Aura feel aspirational and rare—it’s not easy to achieve and you won’t see it often, but when you do it should be memorable.”

The limited edition skins will be available on August 23 as part of a bundle that also includes a gun buddy, player card and spray. It will set you back 6265 VP, making this one of the more premium skin lines in Valorant. It is however a limited time skin, that will not appear in the rotating store or night market.

From August 23 to September 21, 50% of the proceeds from the Champions 2022 skin collection will go to the teams participating in the Valorant Champions tournament, that is being held in Istanbul. 16 teams will be competing to become world champions between August 31 and September 18.

Riot Games has also revealed that there will be both Twitch and YouTube drops for the tournament, meaning viewers can receive in-game items just by watching the pro matches. All you have to do is make sure your Riot Games account is linked to Twitch or YouTube and then tune into the official broadcasts of the tournament.

If you watch a game between August 31 and September 13 you will get the “Fire” title. If you watch a game on September 16 or 17 you will get the 2022 VCT Champions Curse spray, and if you watch the final of the competition on September 18 you will get the 2022 VCT Champions hero card.
