This year's Pokémon TCG Halloween bundles have already been spotted at some American retailer shelves before the official September release.

New Halloween Pokémon Trading Card Game sets have already hit the shelves of some United States retailers. Pokemon's Halloween Trick or Trade BOOSter Packs were announced back in July alongside a Pokémon holiday season calendar. Fans of the franchise are eager to collect the Halloween sets, especially since Pokémon cards are seemingly raising in value at the moment.

Seasonal Pokémon collectibles and events are common, both in TCG and Pokémon video games. Pokémon has had an especially eventful year so far, with the release of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, continuous updates to titles like Pokémon GO, and the upcoming massive final Pokémon TCG Sword & Shield set. The Pokémon TCG community has unfortunately been controversial as of late, with the popularity of card grading leading to cards reselling or outstanding prices, and scalpers taking advantage of new releases. That being said, Pokémon TCG is also collaborating with McDonald's once again, after the controversial collaboration just last year.

Excitingly, Pokémon TCG's Halloween-themed Booster bundles are already available for purchase at some major US retailers including Kohl's and Kroger, according to Nintendo Life. The set is charmingly titled the Trick or Trade BOOster Bundle and is set up to be used for trick-or-treating. The Pokémon TCG booster bundle contains 40 mini-packs of three cards and features a cute little pumpkin Pikachu logo in the corner of each image. There are 30 original cards in each bundle, including one holo card. Although they are reprints, the theme along with a large amount of cards is valuable to collectors.

Although the set officially releases on September 1st, some users on PokéBeach have already shared images of cards in the Trick or Trade BOOster Bundle. Pokémon collectibles are exciting, even more so if they have interesting themes, but the market surrounding them is a point of contention. While the cards are highly valued at the moment, many think Pokémon TCG's value will crash at some point due to the over-production of cards. While this is a good thing for everyday collectors trying to catch them all, it's not great for those who buy and trade cards to make money. While the grading system and auctioning of cards at high prices is also controversial, it has benefited quite a few collectors. That being said, retro cards are still going to be valuable to both collectors and those buying and trading.

Hopefully, scalpers won't be too much of an issue this year, since the main point of the Trick or Trade BOOster Bundle is to give out during trick or treating. However, since The Pokémon Company is now in charge of printing Pokémon TCG cards and prints many of them, and the BOOster Bundle is already available in advance, many may have the opportunity to purchase the Halloween set. Pokémon TCG's massive final Sword & Shield set's release may be a different story, though.
