Role-playing games can mainly be completed in the imagination, such as Dungeons and Dragons. But you can enhance the gameplay by doing small things with props and costumes

Video games may take place in a virtual world, but this does not mean that their characters, aesthetics and objects need to stay there. 

Of course, this is unreasonable. At this point, we are fully aware of the large number of products the company provides to fans. But in many cases, the product is not necessarily consistent with your favorite part of the game.

Saying that your favorite items in Skyrim are always the avant-garde "Blood Scythe" or the fashionable "Nightingale Blade", you are likely to be out of luck in turning those beloved fantasy elements into reality. That is, unless you are ready to take on the task yourself.

Equipped with a 3D printer, some professional knowledge and plenty of time to perfect the model, print, polish and paint, you can certainly turn any element of your favorite virtual world into reality. 

Here are five of our favorite ways to do this.

The core of 3D printing is the standard figurine. Complete 3D printing of characters, places, objects or creatures.

From small figurines made by developers to Nintendo’s notoriously expensive Amiibo, these 3D models may have taken over your mind when you start thinking about 3D printing something from the virtual world. Make them a good starting point.

Of course, the curves, details, and faces of 3D graphics can become very complex, requiring some of the finest skills in refining and painting. However, with some practice, creating your own character may be one of the most valuable ways to decorate your bookshelf with artifacts from your favorite virtual world.

Let's face it, games are role-playing. When it comes to our favorite games, I believe we won’t mind trading shoes for a day or two. To get this feeling, creating 3D clothing elements can be a very rewarding experience.

In this regard, the most accessible and immediately transformative work is the mask. Think of the samurai mask in "The Ghost of Tsushima" or one of those intimidating masks in "Payday 2."

While this can be very useful for some (relatively) mask-based quick conversions, role players take 3D printing of clothing to a whole new level, printing everything from small accessories to whole body armor.

Whether you are an aspiring role player or just a fan of some virtual headwear, making costumes can bring incredible rewards.

Although the game is full of excellent character designs, most of the time we interact with them are props. Whether it's a sword, gun, stick, bow, or even a deck of cards, props are the core of most game experiences. Leave an unshakable question: how would it feel to actually interact with the above-mentioned props?

3D printing provides another great opportunity here, giving you a chance to actually touch video game items.

Making such props has a wide range of applications from role playing to decoration, making them very versatile and worth making.

Although we may initially consider 3D printing just for appearance, this does not mean that we can't do more with them.

From the beginning of the board game, players have been creating worlds, characters, objects, monsters, etc. But, in most cases, these inventions must stay in the realm of imagination-or at least two-dimensional art.

With 3D printing, you can choose to bring a whole new dimension to your desktop experience, modeling your characters and places with impressive details.

Although creating a complete, high-quality 3D model from scratch may seem daunting, if you are new to the 3D printing world, then basing your design on an existing game model (preferably a model you can customize) may start a good choice. For example, equip your Skyrim character with specific armor and weapons in the game to capture the essence of the desktop character and reduce modeling.

If the desktop piece looks more useful, my goodness, we still have a long way to go! 

It is important to remember that the vast majority of 3D printing is for functions, printing objects, parts, etc., to meet specific utilitarian goals. You can do the same.

Before you laugh at it as a big, boring joke, imagine: the blackjack you've always liked in Skyrim...you might be drinking it. 

From water bottles to pencil holders, to boxes, boxes, etc., there are a large number of items in any game that can play a role in the real world, and at the same time transfer the excitement of your favorite game to the real world.

Here you can go crazy, think about any niche market you have to fill, and find a way to incorporate your favorite game into that design. Whether it is translating an object to achieve the same purpose, such as a fantasy RPG hip flask, or something completely different, such as a Crash Bandicoot pencil holder.

The sky is really the limit, but when you let it work, you can kill two birds with a stone.
