These Fusion Strike cards are the best the Pokemon TCG has to offer.

Pokemon TCG’s Fusion Strike cards are one of three styles included in expansion packs. Similar to Single Strike cards, Fusion Strike Pokemon are all about power hits and causing as much damage as possible, and like the Rapid Strike cards, they're meant to piggyback and work together for maximum effect.

When building your deck, picking the right Fusion Strike Pokemon can make or break your collection because they work with so many of the other cards. You can use Fusion Strike with the Rapid and Single Strike Pokemon, or with other Fusion Strikes. Regardless of how you play them, they’re sure to up your chances of winning a battle.

Gorebyss is the Stage One evolution of Clamperl with 110 HP. This Pokemon has an Ability called Rapid Strike Canceler which allows you to effectively cancel out any Ability your opponent’s Active Pokemon has in play.

With 50 damage, Gorebyss’s secondary move is Draining Kiss that heals 30 HP back to this Pokemon when used. Since Gorebyss has a smaller amount of health to begin with, the ability to heal will come in handy when you have this card in play.

This version of Mew is a Basic Pokemon with 180 HP, though it's one of the most valuable in the Fusion Strike expansion. You’ll be able to use Mew V’s Energy Mix to search your deck for an Energy card and attach it to any one of your Fusion Strike cards. After you do this, shuffle your deck to maintain randomization when you draw.

Mew V’s second move is Psychic Leap with 70 damage. When using this move, you can shuffle Mew V and all the cards attached to it back into your deck. You’ll never have to worry about using up a great card with this move.

This Stage One evolution of Toxel has a low HP of 120, but offers an Ability called Maximum Downer. When all of your in-play Pokemon are Fusion Strikes, use this move to decrease your opponent’s VMax Pokemon health by 30. Similar to Gorebyss, having some control over HP — either on your side or your opposing side — makes Pokemon with less full HP last a little longer in battle.

You can also use Head Bolt to inflict 90 damage to a target Pokemon which, depending on the health of your target, is enough to take out a weakened Pokemon entirely.

Hoopa V is a Basic Pokémon with 220 HP. On top of this higher health stat, Hoopa has an Ability called Two-Faced that makes it both Dark and Psychic type for the duration the card is in play. This influences Hoopa’s effects and interaction with other Pokémon.

Hoopa’s Shadow Impact move will inflict 170 damage but puts three damage counters on one of your Pokemon. Obviously, taking on damage yourself isn’t ideal, but the damage this move will do is critical to a powerful Pokemon and lethal to a weaker one.

Another Basic Pokemon, Meloetta has very low HP at only 90. However, this Pokemon uses Melodious Echo with a minimum of 70 damage — 70 per Fusion Strike Energy attached to your total number of Pokemon in play.

The ideal time to use Meloetta is when you have something big to use next, or if you’ve used a powerful Pokemon in the turn before and need to finish off what you started.

Dragapult is a Stage Two evolution of Drakloak. Yet again, this Pokemon has minimal HP — only 150 — but the power they put out is worth that smaller health. The Fusion Strike Assault move will do 30 damage for each of your Fusion Strike cards in play.

Dragapult also has the Speed Attack move that will do 120 damage in one hit, which will be enough to take out Pokemon with lower HP and give you a quick advantage.

A Basic Pokemon, Latias has 120 HP. This Pokemon also has an Ability — Red Assist — that will allow you to attach a Psychic Energy card from your hand to your Latias. This will change the effectiveness of Latias' moves and its interactions with other Pokemon. Overall, it gives you more opportunities to overpower your opponent.

Dyna Barrier is another of Latias’ moves and has 70 damage. After using it, your opponent won’t be able to attack Latias with a VMax Pokemon during their turn.

This Basic Pokemon has a limited HP of 90, but an Ability called Lesson In Zeal which will grant all of your Fusion Strike Pokemon the ability to take 20 less damage from your opponent. This applies after factoring in Weakness and Resistance, but will still have a significant effect in battle.

When using this move, keep in mind that you can only have it active on one of your Pokemon at a time, meaning you can’t stack this effect multiple times. You can also use Oricorio’s Glistening Droplets, which lets you put five damage counters on your opponent’s Pokemon however you like.

Genesect V is a Basic Pokemon with a slightly better HP of 190. The Ability of Fusion Strike System can be used with this Pokemon — once during your turn, you can draw cards until you have the same amount of cards in your hand as you have Fusion Strike cards actively in play.

This Pokemon also has the Techno Blast move with 210 damage, but after using this, you won’t be able to attack with Genesect V in your next turn.

As the name suggests, this Mew is a VMax evolved from Mew V with a massive 310 HP. Using Cross Fusion Strike, you can pick one of your Benched Fusion Strike Pokemon and use their attack in Mew’s place.

The Max Miracle move deals out 130 damage and isn’t affected by any of the counters or effects attached to your opponent’s Active Pokemon.
