Covers the impact of the coronavirus on the sports world

The 2021 season of the Washington football team is as wild as a roller coaster. This team lost their starting quarterback before the end of the first game of the season. They entered their goodbye week with a 2-6 record and lost their star passer due to a torn ACL. Chase Young. However, since that magical goodbye week, Washington has led 4-0 and now has a wild card position.

However, Washington's work is not over, because the remaining five games are division duels, and four of these five games are also against opponents for the postseason position. Tyler Haynik sometimes performed amazingly this season, but can he find a way to get Washington into the playoffs?

Let's get a deeper understanding of Washington's playoff prospects by looking at Washington's current positioning, the remaining games, and some things that must be improved in the coming weeks.

Washington (6 wins and 6 losses) currently holds the No. 6 seed in the NFC. This is the second wild card position after the Los Angeles Rams with 8 wins and 4 losses, slightly higher than the 7th San Francisco 49ers with 6 wins and 6 losses. The Dallas Cowboys currently have the No. 4 seed as the division leader with a record of 8 wins and 4 losses.

The teams behind Washington in the playoffs are the Philadelphia Eagles 6-7, the Minnesota Vikings 6-7, the Carolina Panthers 5-7, the Atlanta Falcons 5-7, and 5 -7 New Orleans Saints. I think it’s good to exclude the last three teams now, so Washington only needs to focus on the 49ers, Eagles and Vikings.

Washington's current situation is not bad, because it just needs to continue to win. But the rest of the schedule is interesting.

Here is the remaining timetable for Washington:

That's right, games against the Cowboys and Eagles account for 80% of Washington's remaining schedule, and Washington is the first team since the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1995 to end the season with five division games. We will predict the outcome below, but if Washington has the potential to win the division, it is worth solving. This is technically true, but Dallas is already in a more favorable position with a score of 8-4. If the Cowboys split with Washington, defeating the Giants and Eagles and losing to the Arizona Cardinals, they will end with a 11-6 record. That will win them the NFC East.

The Cowboys may be unstable week after week, but they are still one of the better teams in the NFC. Tony Pollard and Ezekiel Elliott can build rhythm on the offensive end, their wide receiver can break the big scene, and Trevon Diggs and Micah Parsons are legitimate defensive playmakers. As for the Eagles, they have the best rushing offense in the league, and Washington has the third-ranked running defense. This should lead to some interesting battles.

As you can see in the schedule in Washington, we will soon discover whether this is a legitimate threat to the playoffs. If Heinicke and Co. lose the next two goals, they will fall behind by eight goals.

According to Caesars Sportsbook, Washington is +115 if "Yes" enters the playoffs, and "No" is -145. If you are at the top of this team, this seems like a pretty good bet. According to Washington’s schedule, I bet it will separate the season series from Dallas. Suppose it also separates the season series from Philadelphia. Washington may enter Week 18 with a score of 8-8. I said they beat the Giants.

If Washington's record is 9-8, let's look at the other teams it competes with. In my opinion, Philadelphia is 8-9, Minnesota is 8-9, and San Francisco will be near that area. If Washington finishes 9-8, I think it will enter the playoffs. However, this record is not guaranteed, a record of 10-7 would be more ideal. Maybe it is possible to sweep the Eagles. Either way, before the official end of the regular season, the playoffs of these four teams will become chaotic.
