On Sunday, December 19, 5:00-6:00 pm, Crookston Cathedral, First Presbyterian Church, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Trinity Church and Harvest Church invite everyone to "follow the stars" in the community Driving the scene of the nativity experience. The journey will take 15-20 minutes, so be sure to start the experience before 5:40pm. It will start from the Trinity Church and you will follow the stars to other churches. After the experience, refreshments and Christmas carols will be held in the parking lot of the Harvest Church. Interactive maps with scriptures and questions will be available on Crookston Times, KROX, church websites and Facebook pages. Be sure to listen to the KROX radio and enjoy Christmas music on the go.

RiverView Health in Crookston will offer various COVID-19 and flu vaccination clinics this week. They will be in the coming days. Wednesday, December 15th, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for people 12 years and older. Thursday, December 16, 9 am to 3 pm, for people 18 years and older. From 3pm to 4:30pm on Thursday, December 16, Pfizer vaccination clinics and influenza vaccination clinics will be opened for children aged 5-11. COVID vaccination and influenza vaccination can be performed at the same appointment time. Walk-in is not accepted. To make an appointment, please call 281.9595. 

Crookston Boy Scout Troop 41 will offer their holiday fruit basket sale from now until Monday, December 20. The small basket is 20 US dollars, the medium basket is 30 US dollars, and the large basket is 40 US dollars. To order, you can call Chrysti at 218-289-1696. The basket can be delivered within the city of Crookston, or it can be picked up at Trinity Church on Monday, December 20th from 6:00-7:30 pm.

Our Redeemer Lutheran School in Crookston is holding a festive fruit basket fundraiser. A small basket with 12 fruits for 20 USD, a medium basket with 17 fruits and a summer sausage for 30 USD, or 21 fruits, a jelly and a for 40 USD Big basket of pineapples. Crookston Eagles will hold an auxiliary holiday party at Wanda Hotel on December 15th (Wednesday) from 6:00-7:00 pm. After the party, they will hold an auxiliary meeting. There is also the Darts League at 7:00 p.m.

This year, Golden Link will once again become a gift-wrapped toy for Tots. All members are welcome to participate voluntarily and go to Golden Link at 1pm on Friday, December 17th to help children in the community pack toys. The packaging will take place in the community room, and you can watch the Christmas movie while packaging. When you volunteer, hot cider and Christmas cookies will also be provided. Santa Claus will appear at Studio 110 at 110 South Crookston Avenue on Sunday, December 19th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Come take a photo with Santa Claus and enjoy cookies, hot cocoa, cider and sweets. This event is free and open to the public.

The Harvest Church in Crookston will hold their Christmas program on Sunday, December 19, to replace their regular Sunday worship.

The Crookston Parks & Recreation Committee will meet in City Hall on Monday, December 20th at 4:45 pm.

The Crookston Housing and Economic Development Authority will hold a meeting at Valley Technology Park on Tuesday, December 21st at 7 am.

The Crookston Planning Committee will meet on Tuesday, December 21st at 7pm in the City Hall Assembly Hall.

The melee between Crookston High School, Cathedral and Mount Saint Benedict will be held at Crookston Sports Center on Thursday, December 23rd. This year there will be only one single and double match. The first game will be played in odd and even numbers from 4:00 to 5:15 pm. The second game will be played from 5:30 pm to 6:45 pm The Pirate Girl vs. Pirate Girl Alumni Tournament. The third game will be at 7 pm From 00 to 8 pm, the Pirate Boys and Pirate Alumni competition will be held at 15 pm. The Crookston Eagles will hold a jackpot bingo game at 6:00 on Thursday, December 23, and provide a final jackpot of $1,000, a meat draw and horse racing. The Johnny Holm band will perform from 9:30-1:00.

Crookston School District will be closed during the Christmas holidays from December 23 to January 2.

Golden Link will be closed on Thursday, December 23 and Friday, December 24 to celebrate Christmas. They will provide foot care from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm on Thursday, December 23

The Crookston Blue Line Club and the Crookston Eagles will host the 2022 Happy New Year Bash at the Crookston Eagles on Friday, December 31st. A social event will be held at 5:00 pm, a dinner party will be held at 6:00 pm, and the "four-wheel drive" band will perform live at 9:00 pm. In addition, silent auctions, sweepstakes, games and sweepstakes will be held. Dinner tickets are $30 per pair or $50 per couple, and can be purchased at Crookston Eagle Club or Blue Line Club offices. Tickets are limited. All proceeds will be used for Crookston Youth Hockey. The Crookston Driftbusters Snowmobile Club will host a snowmobile safety training day for students 12 years and older on Saturday, January 8, 2022. The first step is to complete the online portion of the course by visiting www.snowmobilecourse.com. The game day will begin at the Crookston Sports Center at 8:00 am. RiverView Health will hold a virtual monthly type 2 diabetes support group meeting on the third Wednesday of each month from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. The Books & Brews Book Club of the Crookston Public Library meets at Drafts Sports Bar and Grill at 6:30 pm on the fourth Tuesday of every month. They will discuss books and enjoy drinks. Appetizers are provided by the Friends of the Crookston Public Library; participants are responsible for food and beverage costs. Everyone is welcome. 

Golden Link offers lunch at noon from Monday to Friday and dinner on Thursday evening. The cost is $6. The meal for veterans is half price on the first Monday of each month. Call 281-3072 before 10:00 on the day you plan to eat lunch.
